Fripp Island is three and a half miles long and a mile wide at its widest point. The size of Fripp Island makes it a great golf cart community. Golf carts are the perfect way to travel around and explore what the island offers, plus no buckets of sand to vacuum from your car after vacation. In addition to vacation property, We See’um Rentals, LLC owns and rents golf carts. We offer four-seater and six-seater carts.

We See'Um Rentals Golf Cart Order Form and Usage Guidelines

Usage Guidelines and General Rules:

  1. Golf carts are not a toy and serious injuries or death can occur if not operated properly.
  2. If, in the case, your cart stops operating properly, cease operation immediately. Do not attempt to tow your cart. Call BJ at 843-575-1527 or Bob at 843-575-5139 between the hours of 7:00 am & 5:00 pm.
  3. If you believe your cart has been stolen contact BJ at 843-575-1527 or Bob at 843-575-5139 immediately. If there is no answer, leave a message and call Fripp Island Security at 843-838-2334.
  4. The golf cart should be returned in the same condition as received. Renter of the cart is responsible for the cost of repair.
  5. Any attempt to modify your cart will result in a $500.00 fine charged to the card on file.
  6. Avoid water. Both salt and fresh water can cause the cart to stop working properly. In addition, saltwater causes early deterioration of the cart structure & other parts. If it is determined a service call was necessary due to water damage, a $100.00 fine will be charged to the card on file in addition to the cost of repair.
  7. Avoid or proceed with care when encountering speed bumps, potholes or other obstacles that may contribute to flat tires or other damage to the cart. If it is determined that a flat tire or other damage was caused due disregard of this rule a $100.00 fine will be charged to the card on file in addition to the cost of repair.
  8. Follow all rules and regulations outlined by Fripp Island Golf Cart Rules & Regulations.
  9. If anyone is observed, by a We See’um Investors/Rentals, LLC associate, driving with disregard for safety, rules & regulations or condition of the cart, the cart will be confiscated. No refund or credit will be given. The decision to confiscate is solely up to the associate of We See’um Investors/Rentals LLC, and no other proof is necessary other than the observation by the associate.

Delivery Time

  • Delivery time is before 4 pm

Pick-Up

  • On the day of pick-up, your cart(s) should be at your property and ready for pick-up by 10:00 am (earlier in summer weeks). The cart(s) should be in plain view and easily accessible.
  • Place Keys in the cup holder.
  • For Electric Carts, please place the Charger in the front floorboard.
  • Remove all trash and personal items.

Electric Carts

  • Plug-in every night for charging and when the cart is at the property for 30 minutes or longer. This will maximize battery charge. When plugging in the cart wait a few seconds to hear the battery turn on to ensure the cart is charging.
  • We strive to deliver carts with a full charge. In consideration of the renter after you, please charge your cart the entire night before check-out. In addition, do not drive or limit driving to necessity on the day of check-out. Carts not fully charged are subject to a $25.00 fine charged to the credit card on file.

Gas Carts

  • Please leave your gas golf cart with a full tank of regular gas. Gas can be purchased at the Fripp Marina. Please purchase the gas on the evening before your departure to ensure the golf cart is ready for pick-up by 8:00 am. The gas tank is located under the front seat of 4-seater carts and under the second seat of 6-seater carts. If your cart does not have a full tank of gas, $25 will be charged to the credit card on file.

What time will my golf cart be delivered?

Normally by 4:00 pm

What time will my cart be picked up?

We begin picking carts up early morning. Your cart should be ready for pick-up by10:00 am.

What do I need to do to have my cart ready for pickup?

Electric carts should be fully charged with the battery in the front floor board and the keys in the cup holder. Gas carts should have a full tank of gas (fill up at the Marina on the evening before check-out) and the keys in the cup holder. The cart should be easily accessible.

How often should I charge an electric cart & how do I know I have it plugged in correctly?

Electric carts should be charged every night all night. If at the home or more than 30 minutes it is also good to put the cart on the charger. Depending on the charger there will be an indicator light or gage and many of them will make a low humming sound when charge begins.

How will I know if I am getting low on battery power?

Most of our electric carts have indicator lights that show the charge of the battery. If there is no indicator light you should notice the cart slowing down from its normal speed.

How far will a gas cart go on a tank of gas?

Most guests will find a tank of gas will last all week. You will only need to fill up with gas on the last evening in order to return the cart with a full tank.

Will driving through water damage the cart?

Slowly driving through a rain puddle should not cause damage but splashing or driving through multiple rain puddles can damage the cart. Salt water should be avoided at all times.
